Any member of the public may speak to any issue that is not agendized for public hearing at this meeting. Speakers will be limited to three minutes during this item and at public hearings. There will be a thirty (30) minute aggregate time limit for this item, and speakers are encouraged to sign up in advance with the City Clerk prior to their participation.

When an issue has been designated as quasi-judicial, public remarks shall only be heard during a quasi-judicial hearing that has been properly noticed for that matter.

A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, appointing Lerenzo Calhoun as Director of Human Resources, effective upon adoption, nunc pro tunc to July 1, 2017, providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.

c.TR12979 - Grant Application for BRP Program

A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida authorizing the appropriate City Officials to submit a grant application, attached hereto as Exhibit “A”, to Broward County for Broward Redevelopment Program Funds in an amount up to $1,000,000 For The Tamarac Village Park Project; providing for up to a 1:1 in-kind and/or cash match in local funds in an amount up to $1,000,000 in the event of approval of the application; providing for acceptance of the award and execution of documents upon legal review and approval; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.

d.TR12977 - Taste of Tamarac 2017 In-kind Support and Waiver of Fees

A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, approving a request from the Tamarac Chamber of Commerce for in-kind support and to waive fees for Friday, October 13, 2017, and Saturday, October 14, 2017, for the Taste of Tamarac event to be held at the Tamarac Community Center on Saturday, October 14, 2017, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; providing for permits, proper insurance, and execution of a hold harmless agreement.

e.TR12980 - Extension of Zoning in Progress Reasonable Time Extension Request - Hospitals and Medical Clinics Public or Private or Uses Similar

A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, authorizing  a reasonable Time Extension of the Zoning in Progress of one hundred and eighty (180) days in accordance with Chapter 24, Article II, Division 6, Section 24-91 of the City of Tamarac Code of Ordinances; authorizing and directing the City Manager to undertake further study and review of the City’s regulations relating to health care uses to include hospital, public or private, medical clinic or uses similar to a hospital or medical clinic; providing that upon the adoption of this resolution extending the Zoning in Progress an additional one hundred and eighty (180) days, no permits or applications shall be issued or processed for hospitals or medical clinics or uses similar to a hospital or medical clinic within the City of Tamarac for a total of seven hundred and twenty (720) days from the date of the Administrative Order, consistent with this Resolution; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.

f.TR12949 - Cisco Network Infrastructure Replacement

A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, awarding IFB No. 17-18b to AIP US, LLC for the purchase of Cisco Systems network switches in the total amount of $150,408.10, and to CSPi Technology Solutions for the purchase of Cisco Systems UCS telephone system servers in the total amount of $50,644.20; approving the acquisition of Cisco Systems network switches from AIP US, LLC and Cisco Systems UCS telephone system servers from CSPi Technology Solutions; authorizing an expenditure for an amount not to exceed $201,052.30; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.
